I’m Nikolai Langley.

I make things that hold attention—brands, websites, spaces, experiences, stories.

I notice the little things. The quiet corners. The tension between structure and feeling. Design, to me, is about leaving room for what matters—for what surprises, for what lingers.

I work with teams, I work alone. The goal is always the same:

CREATE SOMETHING THAT FEELS ALIVE, THOUGHTFUL, AND A LITTLE UNEXPECTED.

I’ve been lucky. OS Studios, ESPN, Apple, Studio Kota—and a handful of others—have let me push ideas into strange, useful, beautiful places. I’ve collaborated closely with architecture studios and spatial thinkers, and I’ve found I’m drawn to systems, proportion, and the way environments shape behavior. Even in digital work, I think in terms of structure, flow, and space.

I spend as much time on work for myself as I do for anyone else—books, installations, experiments, digital things that might never see the light of day. They feed each other, bleed into each other, keep me honest. My practice is noticing, building, refining.

Sometimes it’s for clients. Sometimes it’s just for me. Either way, it matters.
